Spiritual belief is one area or aspect of Man which has brought a lot of arguments, debates and even conflicts even as far as wars. But what about it!
You have your beliefs and I have mine. Does that make me look crazy to you? Or you look crazy to me? What about the one who does not even believe in anything at all? Is he crazy? Or do we look crazy to him as well?
Most non-believers tend to put the other side of this argument on Christians alone, but there are lots of religious beliefs so why only on Christianity? Much has been written on religious beliefs and their efficacy or authenticity and all these articles are pointed to Christianity most often. Why is it so? Are Christians the craziest people on Earth? Is believes in a God who created this Universe crazy? Is believes in the power of His Son who will come back to Earth again weird? If the Bible is not proof enough, the artifacts in Israel and some parts of Egypt should give you a clue. If they aren't, how then do you want a proof? Large international Christian conferences which are usually aired Live on Television channels show some supernatural events or occurrence science cannot explain, though weird but have you pondered to ask how this came about? In case you do not believe, have you tried it for yourself to attend one of these conferences to test and see 'live' the power of this God we Christians serve? You have not done all these, but yet wonder baselessly.
To some, it is weird to believe man is the supreme and after man, there is no one else higher above. Then how did Man come to be? Through Apes? How then did the first Ape come to be? If we continue this backdating sequential chain, you will end up hanging nowhere. There must be a force responsible. Other people see it so weird for we, humans to easily believe in the power of Magic than in the power of a supreme being. The manifestation of mother-nature than of God, which in a neutral sense we still acknowledge a supreme force with a different name tag 'Mother-nature'.
What about the stories in the Bible? Remember that they are historical happenings of the past. How can you scientifically prove history? Jesus fed 5000 people, but who saw them? Yes! Maybe we cannot, answer that, but please tell me how King Henry II the Roman Emperor was crowned king of Germany in 1002, King of Italy in 1004 and the only German king to have been Canonized, all on one person. Was anyone there? Did anyone see him? Can you prove it? But it is written in history books and even on the internet for people to read. And for sure, you will easily believe the later without a single doubt than believe in the Biblical story just because it is a biblical story.
In conclusion, everyone is entitled to his or her own beliefs and opinions and should in case you are not convinced of another person's beliefs, do not go about in mockery against that person's view, be it direct or indirect, intentionally or unintentionally. Constructive arguments are always welcomed, and of course such arguments could be enlightening and educative, but not a straight forward 'blow'. What sounds weird to you, sounds normal to another and hence should at least stay that way in order to avoid conflicts due to how we are-diverse, complex and distinct to each other.
