The Christian Angle - The Problem That Kills Love

The books of Daniel and revelation in the Bible makes it clear that Satan has pulled off his master trick by inventing a counterfeit Christianity based on disobedience to God's law. Not all so-called "Christian" ideas are based on the True word of God or Biblical teachings. For example, here is a professedly Christian book about marriage that says that the male "can be faithful in his mind and heart without being faithful in his body" (McGrath and Gregoire, Africa: Our way to Love and Marriage, London: Geoffrey Chapman, 1977, Page, 20). In other words, a husband is permitted to visit prostitutes or have sex with whomsoever he pleases provided "in his mind and heart" he maintains a mental faithfulness to his wife! This is completely contrary to the words of Jesus, who says, "From within, out of the heart of men, proceed...... adulteries, fornications" (Mark 7:21). It is impossible for a man to commit adultery and at the same time "be faithful in his mind and heart.." Whenever you find a Christian married couple who are unhappily married, you can be sure there is guilt somewhere hiding beneath the surface, or that they have been taught some similar false doctrine, maybe from childhood. They have been poisoned by lies that Satan has told.
There is no poison in the teachings of true Christianity. But there is plenty of Poison in the teachings of "Babylon," which is counterfeit Christianity. "Babylon the great is fallen." says the angel, "and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit." she deals in the "merchandise of....slaves, and souls of men..... And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth" (Revelation 18:2, 12, 13, 24).
This "poison" that makes people "slaves" and destroys their "souls" is the teaching that God's law cannot be obeyed. Hence some Christians go to church every week and give offerings in order to "pay" for their continued fornication and adultery, and all manner of evil. They are taught that the blood of Christ "covers" their sin while they continue living in sin. They "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof" (2nd Timothy 3:2-5).
It is like a factory producing guilt. They come and confess their sins, thinking that it is impossible not to sin. They actually believe that God does not expect them to live pure lives, that it is impossible not to commit adultery or fornication. This is the "wine" of false teaching that Babylon teaches. "for all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication" (Revelation 18:3). "Natural affection" would be the pure love of husband and wife in marriage, but Paul says "this know also that in the last days"- this kind of love will be rare (2nd Timothy 3:1).
